My lex-husband made guitars. He was very good at it. Love the concept of the art and the fact it wouldn't really alter the soundboard's (top) tone that much- however it does appear that you did 'anchor' the paint with some sort of varnish or topcoat. Can't help but wonder if THAT did alter the sound a bit.
A W E S O M E ~ I bet the owner is very happy with this awesome and unique piece of art! Which paint did you use? --Love and Light, OLGA
Artist Reply: I started with acrylic - that way I could work without worrying... it also made it easy to remove paint to create detail easier than using a line brush.. then I went over the entire painting with enamel nail polish and added glitter - once that was fully set, I went over the area with a clear coat nail polish... Glad you liked it! My daughter Loves it :)
Thats AWESOME, Clare!! Beautiful design!! I once had a guitar when I was younger that I hand painted a flame design which I thouht was so cool!! Nowhere nearly as good as this though!! :-)
Artist Reply: Awe, thanks Steve :) Hope all is well with you, I haven't been in AW in a while... it was so much fun painting this - I'm thinking of buying some used guitars and painting them - it was soooo much fun~
